Visiting the Sunny State of FLO-RIDA!

Hello Ladies!

Now don't jump to conclusions and think that the only reason I went to Florida was to go to Disney World...shocking, I know. The original plan was for my parents to go down and visit my brother Christopher and his loverly wife Lindsay, and bring my adorbs nephew Brayden home to Louisiana for his annual summer trips back to his dad. All this was to be taking place while I was basking in the French sunshine leading tours at a Chateau...well sadly that didn't work out to well. Instead I have been shredding, and shredding, and shredding...and did I mention shredding; with a brief trip to Florida since I'm still stateside. Well back to the reason for Florida, going to visit Christopher in his new house and then head up to the Most Magical Place on Earth (yes, I mean Disney world...and I know...I was there for 5 months, and it never gets old.)
Well on our first evening in Ft. Lauderdale, we went to a Polynesian dinner show...with hula dancers and fire. SO MUCH FUN! They had about 500 different rum drinks divided into alcohol strenghts- this is some creamy coconutty rummy deliciousness of the mediumly strong variety.

The next few days involve some outlet shopping (I bought a Tory Burch wallet!), a trip to the beach, a french restaurant, and a french bakery...or patisserie as they are called in the language of luhooove.

The French Restaurant we went to in Ft. Lauderdale :)

Well Pete rented a car, so we drove up to Orlando, only about 3 hours on the turnpike...not bad at all. Went to the French restaurant...Philippe's parents were in town and only speak French, so I was their entertainment for two of our meals together. Sadly the French restaurant is lacking in cute waiters this time...first time in 23 years that it has let me down...sigh.
I had a very magical time...and went through a number of former cast member withdrawal...I was compelled to help other guests...offered to take photos, direct people where to go, talked to a little boy before thunder mountain.

Anyway, so now I'm home, a little tanner and missing my brother and sister-in-law and nephew and Disney. Miss yall lots and love yall bunches!! Until next time....

visitin' frands

Hello! This past weekend I went to visit Christina in New York. I took the bus for about 4.5 hours after work. I arrived there around 10:30pm. So, then Christina found me at the bus stop and we went to eat at Shake Shack...yummy. The next morning we went to the High Line, an old railroad track that they have transformed into a garden!

Then we went to see the Twin Tower 9/11 memorial. Well, we saw the new towers. It was very somber but it was nice to see.
Then we shopped til we dropped! Went to dinner and had drinks. Christina has already picked up on the metro! She's got it down. At dinner we had margaritas and then went to have drinks around Christina's apartment. It was so much fun! And Christina found her a Florida State baseball player. He was a hottie!

Until next time...Love ya!

BR

This is my first time attempting to "blog"...so here we go. I am currently in Baton Rouge taking summer school. I only have one class, so it isn't bad at all. I go to class in the morning and come home and visit with the cats. For those of you who thought that Stella has changed her hostile ways, you are mistaken. Within the past week, she has tried to bite me twice. Last night Ruby knocked over my water spilling it everywhere while Sarah and I ran to the store. Apparently, this is her new habit.

Last weekend, Sarah, Aimee, and I went to games 2 and 3 of the Super Regional. Y'all will be happy to know that we stayed for both of the entire games. Even though LSU did lose, I am very of our Tigers and their season! And I can't wait for next year.

I am currently sitting on the couch watching the Sound of Music episode of Will and Grace. It is truly one of my favorites and I hope y'all have seen it. If not, y'all really need to watch it. My plans for tonight include painting my nails, enjoying a glass of wine, and reading my book. Hope everyone has a good weekend!
